About Us
The Kalgidhar Trust established its first Akal Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre at Cheema Sahib in Sangrur district of Punjab in 2004. It is the biggest centre (30-bedded) run in the rural Punjab with an abstinence rate of 59% which is higher than that of the global abstinence. It is managed by highly experienced team of experts providing holistic treatment, combining medicines, yoga and spiritual therapy.
Deeply concerned about the drug problem, Padam Shri Late Baba Iqbal Singh Ji, exhorted Dr Rajinder Singh, a renowned senior psychiatrist to initiate measures to tackle this menacing issue. After receiving the blessing of Baba ji he started his long an arduous journey to bring back the astray youth to lead normal lives.
